Quarterly review meeting

 

Again TASS proudly announces the end of a successful phase implementing child protection and gender based violence abandonment activities. This remarkable achievement was marked through a quarterly review meeting held GUL PLAZA HOTEL-BOSSASO, PUNTLAND.

The meeting saw all child protection advocates, gender based violence case workers, IDP focal points, TASS officials and other key stakeholders, come together and share success stories, challenges faced in the implementation; and together further recommendations were made. Among them were:, that TASS would, through a stakeholder participatory process, develop a comprehensive manual to guide the process of child protection

During the meeting key stakeholders for these programs were invited to witness and share ideas with regard to child protection, gender based violence abandonment initiatives been implemented by TASS. Among them were:

1.      Faduma Farah -          United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF)

2.      Mohamud -                 United Nations OCHA

3.      Abdirshiid-                  Norwegian Church Agency

4.      Muse Jibril Aris-          Ministry of Education

5.      Ayan Nur-                   MAWDAFA

The two day meeting which took place on the 10th and 11th of December was succeeded by an organized capacity building training to the field staff on female genital mutilation.
